Opioid addiction
Symptoms of opioid withdrawal can include:
- Nausea and/or diarrhea
- Irritability
- Sweating
- Agitation
- Abdominal cramping
- Muscle aches
Illicit drug addiction
Illicit drugs, or narcotics, can include any drugs that are illegal to have, as well as medical drugs used for non-medical purposes. Illicit drugs can include cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, heroin, ketamine, hydrocodone, codeine, and more.
Symptoms of narcotic/illicit drug withdrawal can include:
- Insomnia
- Irritability
- Stomach upset
- Hallucinations
- Mood swings
- Paranoia
- Tremors
The treatment we provide for illicit drug addiction will depend on many personal factors, and may include a combination of any of the following: medication-assisted treatment, behavioral therapy, medical detoxification, 12-step program involvement, and alternative therapies. It can be dangerous to attempt to treat illicit drug addiction on your own, and it’s strongly recommended that you begin your addiction treatment under professional supervision.
